To Mamud Band, afrobeat is a source of endless inspiration, one that hypnotises you into surrendering completely to the riff and repetition. When playing, they become a single, seamless whole of sound, unified by their shared passion for the riff. They tell their shared story through the instruments and Fela’s lyrics complete the message.
